Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Masa Wasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Hound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wasa comes to the cage accompanied by Welcome To The Jungle. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Masa Wasa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, The Hound!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wasa missing with a left hand there. Hound was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hound throws a counter combo.
Wasa stuffs the takedown attempt from Hound. Hound gets slowly back to his feet.
Wasa finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Wasa lands a leg kick that knocks Hound off balance momentarily.
Hound closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wasa circles away.
Wasa is looking to counter with a body kick.
Wasa moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Wasa cracks Hound with a good jab.
Wasa misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hound.
Despite the aggression on Hound's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Nice sprawl there from Wasa as Hound shoots in.
Masa Wasa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Hound.
Wasa looks to throw the jab but Hound is out of range.
We've been hearing reports that Wasa has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hound manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Wasa on his heels. He'll look to pass Wasa's guard now, I'm sure.
Hound missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Wasa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hound doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hound manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hound drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hound jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wasa wants to sweep here but Hound controlling him for the moment.
Hound looking to sit in guard and control but Wasa gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hound has his foot on Wasa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wasa works his way back into a safe position though.
Hound looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Wasa pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hound is keeping the position for now.
Hound wants to sweep here but Wasa controlling him for the moment.
Hound manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wasa manages to get himself to full guard.
Hound stands and throws Wasa's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wasa is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hound's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Hound! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Wasa has tapped! This one is allllll over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). The Hound!
During a confident post fight interview, The Hound thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
