PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tarmo Teras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fenris Jorgund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fenris Jorgund told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teras throws a looping overhand right but Jorgund ducks down to avoid it.
Jorgund moves out of range of the body kick.
Teras on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jorgund. Jorgund obviously looking to wear him down.
Teras misses with the combination.
Teras stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jorgund.
Teras misses with a two punch combination.
Teras is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jorgund.
Jorgund tries to clinch but Teras moves out of range.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jorgund, right into the meat.

Teras throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jorgund misses with a two punch combination.
Teras throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jorgund sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Teras misses with a straight right.
Jorgund lands a nice leg kick that just misses Teras's sensitive parts.
Jorgund throws a leg kick but Teras sees it coming and moves out of range.
Jorgund feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Teras's calf.

Jorgund throws the kick towards the body but Teras avoids it.
Teras throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Some bone on bone action there as Jorgund checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Teras throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Teras shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Teras showed some decent athleticism there.

Jorgund is trying to control but can't.
Jorgund is refusing to be controlled, as Teras sits in half guard.
Teras is just content to waste time from the top position. Jorgund takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Teras working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Teras throws a strike but Jorgund rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Teras changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jorgund looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Teras is nestled in close to Jorgund, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Teras is thwarting Jorgund's attempts to control the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jorgund is looking to get back to is feet but Teras passes into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Fenris Jorgund will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Teras's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Jorgund throws a combination. Teras tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Teras wants to land a leg kick but Jorgund is out of range.
Teras avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Both fighters circling a little - Jorgund finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

and Jorgund makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Teras really felt that one!

Fenris Jorgund seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Teras throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jorgund sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Teras counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jorgund's knee momentarily.
Teras shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jorgund as he avoids it easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jorgund chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Teras can pounce on him.
Teras swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Teras shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jorgund's guard.

Jorgund manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Jorgund is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Teras shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Tarmo Teras overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jorgund is trying to stand up here but Teras is controlling him well.
Teras throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Teras wants to pass to mount but Jorgund is defending the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jorgund is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Teras is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Teras trying to control from Jorgund's half guard. Jorgund has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Tarmo Teras has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Teras with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Jorgund controls Teras momentarily but Teras frees himself.
