Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tre Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pearl Whites (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Whites has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music. Tre Barnes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tre Barnes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pearl Whites! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whites shoots in but no luck this time. Barnes swings for the body but Whites moves out of range.
Barnes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Barnes advances to half guard. Barnes looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Whites tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Barnes is looking to advance position but Whites won't allow it. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Barnes lands a nice short elbow. Whites wants to get back to full guard. Barnes looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Whites missing with punches from the bottom.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Barnes connects with a nice short shot to Whites's temple.
It looks like Pearl Whites has been cut. Barnes blocks the strikes from Whites.
Barnes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Barnes working over Whites with some ground and pound. Whites looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Barnes drops an elbow to the side of Whites's head. Barnes missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Barnes wants to pass to mount but Whites is defending the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whites makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Whites. Barnes missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Barnes is looking to work some ground and pound but Whites has wrist control. Whites is trying to control the position but Barnes postures up. Barnes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Whites is keeping the position for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Barnes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Whites stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Barnes fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Whites sprawls well initially but Barnes persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Whites wants to improve his position but Barnes is controlling well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Whites is refusing to be controlled, as Barnes sits in half guard. Whites trying to control but Barnes postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barnes looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Whites with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Whites trying to control but Barnes postures up.
Whites wants to get back to his feet. Barnes working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Whites gets full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barnes looking to pass the guard. Whites throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Barnes scoring with punches to the head and body. Barnes is working Whites over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Barnes lands a couple of digs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barnes pushing down on Whites's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Whites is looking for a sweep. Barnes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Whites wants to control but Barnes is keeping busy and won't allow it. Whites looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barnes wants to free his trapped foot but Whites is holding on for dear life with his legs. Barnes lands strikes from half guard. Barnes is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Whites! Barnes fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Whites can't escape the position.

Barnes trying to control but he's not successful this time. Barnes landing punches. Barnes lands a big elbow. Whites is bucking up trying to escape but Barnes cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Whites is rocked!
The cut above Pearl Whites's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Whites is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Whites is still in real trouble! Can Barnes finish him? Barnes raining down shots from the mount! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Barnes postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Whites in real trouble here! The ref calls for Whites to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tre Barnes!
