Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Baddings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Sobral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baddings's entrance music is enter sandman. A fine choice. Sobral is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by SEPULTURA: ATTITUDE. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baddings shoots in looking for a takedown. Sobral tries to sprawl out of it but Baddings keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sobral manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Baddings shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sobral as he avoids it easily.
Sobral wants to clinch up but Baddings keeps it at a distance.

Sobral drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sobral stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Baddings swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Baddings utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Baddings is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Baddings is breathing heavily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sobral accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sobral has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sobral postures up in Baddings's guard and throws a big left but Baddings blocks it.
Sobral is working Baddings over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Baddings is wriggling around but Sobral manages to pass to half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Sobral is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Baddings is just riding it out for now. Sobral eventually gives up the hold.

Sobral drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sobral jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sobral distracts Baddings with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Sobral postures up and lands a big shot to Baddings's brow.

Sobral has gone for a leg lock! Baddings slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sobral's guard.

Sobral had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Baddings is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sobral Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Baddings's back instead.

Sobral looking to break Baddings's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Baddings remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Sobral will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Sobral is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Baddings defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
