Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brady Rhodes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nj Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Nj Chase enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brady Rhodes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nj Chase!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rhodes paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Rhodes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Chase, pushing him back against the cage.
The referee calls for Rhodes to work.
Rhodes keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Chase's efforts to push away.
Rhodes manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Chase drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rhodes pulls his leg out and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chase tries to clinch but Rhodes moves out of range.
Rhodes slaps away a takedown attempt from Chase, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Chase takes one to the chin there.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rhodes moves into the clinch successfully.
Rhodes tries to break free but Chase pushes him back against the cage.

Rhodes breaks from the clinch.

Chase gets a clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rhodes takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Chase drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Brady Rhodes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nj Chase.
Chase wants to get back to striking at distance but Rhodes won't allow it.
The referee is keeping an eye on Rhodes - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Rhodes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Chase drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rhodes pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rhodes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chase.

Rhodes closes the distance and clinches.
Chase blocking some punches.
Rhodes holding his opponent close, against the cage.

Rhodes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rhodes tries a head kick but it misses.

Chase gets tackled into the cage by Rhodes. Rhodes maintains the clinch.
Chase prevents Rhodes from breaking the clinch.
Rhodes tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Nice elbow from Rhodes.
Chase tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rhodes just stands there and leans against the cage.

Rhodes lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chase has hold of Rhodes's hands but Rhodes slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rhodes is working for a submission of some sort.
Chase pushes Rhodes off looking to stand but Rhodes dives back in and keeps control.
Chase wants to improve his position but Rhodes is controlling well.
Chase is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rhodes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rhodes's back!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rhodes trying to get back to his feet but Chase is in full control for now.
Chase not allowing Rhodes to control his hands.

Chase is persistently looking for the submission but Rhodes is defending it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rhodes trying to control the position but Chase manages to sink in the hooks.
Rhodes is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Chase is looking for a rear naked choke here but Rhodes reverses the position brilliantly into Chase's guard!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rhodes working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Chase's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brady Rhodes dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



A momentary lapse in concentration from Rhodes enables Chase to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rhodes manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Chase has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rhodes is proving hard to escape from.
Chase sitting in guard here, content to control.
Chase prevents Rhodes from getting back to his feet.
Chase trying to control but Rhodes is working from the bottom.
Rhodes trying to control the position here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chase drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rhodes manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chase has Rhodes in his guard.

Chase throws his legs up looking for a submission but Rhodes uses it to pass to side control.
Rhodes creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Chase tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rhodes wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Rhodes is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Chase has escaped the position, nice work there.
Rhodes cracks Chase with an elbow. That is naaassty.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rhodes cracks Chase with a big right hand but Chase just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Chase is trying to get back to his feet.
Rhodes working the ground and pound.
Chase tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Rhodes presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Rhodes avoids the attempt from Chase to control.
Chase is breathing heavily.
Rhodes lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Chase is trying to stand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rhodes looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Chase takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Rhodes is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chase can do to turn this around?
Chase tries to reverse the position but Rhodes maintains control.
Rhodes landing strikes from the mount and Chase is in trouble!
Rhodes lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Chase hang on?


Chase is rocked!
Rhodes has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Chase's face.
Chase is still in real trouble! Can Rhodes finish him?
Chase is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Rhodes postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Chase in real trouble here! The ref calls for Chase to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brady Rhodes!
