Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Morris Norman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Kevin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kevin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Thunderstruck kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Kevin!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kevin scores with a nice head shot.
Kevin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Norman tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kevin manages to circle out of the way.
Norman really is a fat lump.

Kevin scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Norman explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Norman shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kevin is trying to defend but Norman finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Kevin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Norman defends it nicely.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kevin slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Kevin has closed the distance and engaged Norman in a clinch.
Kevin is trying to break the clinch but Norman has him pressed against the cage.
Kevin prevents a body shot from Norman.
Kevin wants to take the fight to the mat but Norman manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Norman tries to keep at a distance but Kevin has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kevin looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Kevin is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Norman to keep the fight standing.
Kevin misses with a short punch on the inside.
Norman prevents Kevin from breaking the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kevin drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kevin is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Norman is pressed up against the cage. Kevin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Norman down to the mat. Norman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kevin misses with a punch on the inside.
Norman is pushing Kevin up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Kevin tries to break free but Norman pushes him back against the cage.
Kevin tries to stall but Norman uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Kevin is trying to push Norman away but Norman has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Norman keeps control of Kevin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Norman lands an elbow just above Kevin 's eye.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Norman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kevin swivels and escapes.


It looks like Dave Kevin has been cut.
Norman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Norman wants it to stay on the feet.
Norman feinted with a counter takedown.

Norman clinches up against the cage.
Norman manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Norman prevents Kevin from breaking the clinch.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kevin throws a front kick aimed at Norman's knee but Norman avoids it well.
Norman was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kevin shoots for a takedown but Norman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Kevin clinches up with Norman and pushes him back against the cage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kevin has Norman pressed against the cage.
Norman lands a right hand.

And that's the end of the fight!
Morris Norman showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Norman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
