The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown tries to keep at a distance but Manson has taken the fight into the clinch.

Brown scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Manson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Brown escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Manson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Brown pushes Manson off and scrambles back to his feet.
Brown doesn't manage to clinch there - Manson circles away.

Manson darts in and clinches Brown up against the cage.
Manson is trying to pull guard but Brown turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Manson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Brown regains guard immediately.

Brown is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Manson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Manson wants to sweep but no luck.
Brown not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Manson tries to sprawl but Brown drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Manson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Brown stacks Manson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Brown!

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Brown tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Manson defends well and Brown ends up having to push Manson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ethan Brown.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brown, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
