Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Holger The Dane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jonathan Hanson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Holger The Dane!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Dean Styles and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson thows a left - swing and a miss!
The Dane buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hanson just misses with a punch to the body.
The Dane throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hanson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
The Dane lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Hanson shoots for a takedown but The Dane saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from The Dane lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hanson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hanson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The Dane parries the strikes from Hanson easily there. Hanson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable The Dane to escape.

Hanson is trying to control the action in half guard but The Dane is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Hanson winds up and cracks The Dane with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Hanson is just content to waste time from the top position. The Dane takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Jonathan Hanson will probably get the nod.

Hanson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as The Dane sprawls well. The Dane wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hanson gets slowly back to his feet.

The Dane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hanson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
