With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Scott John!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson throws out a loose jab but John uses good head movement to avoid it.
John throws a body punch but Peterson moves out of range.
John misses with an uppercut.
Peterson throws an overhand right that lands on John's shoulder, as John tries to avoid the shot.
Scott John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
John throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Peterson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Peterson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as John throws out the jab.
Peterson's corner calls for a 1-2. Peterson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Peterson takes a kick to the side of the head.
Peterson throws an overhand right that lands on John's shoulder, as John tries to avoid the shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Peterson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Peterson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
John is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Peterson.
John shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

and Peterson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
John throws out a loose jab but Peterson uses good head movement to avoid it.
John thuds his right hand into Peterson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
John is looking to score with low kicks.

letting John counter with a right hand.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by John.

and John cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
John finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
John lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
John is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Peterson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Peterson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
John uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Peterson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
John has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

John steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Peterson.
Peterson backing away here, and John unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
John pushes Peterson away with a front kick.
Peterson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

and John counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
John moves in looking to clinch but Peterson pushes him off.
Peterson feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Peterson throws a head kick but John moves out of range.
John throws a leg kick
and Peterson counters with a straight right hand.
Peterson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from John.
Peterson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and John counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Peterson stalks John and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into John's face. John staggers backwards, shaken.
A head kick misses from Peterson.
Peterson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and John has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
John throws a jab when Peterson was well out of range.
Peterson lands with a thumping leg kick.
John tries a head kick but it misses.
John misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Peterson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Scott John will probably get the nod - 10:9.

and Peterson counters with a straight right that drops John on his ass! John jumps back to his feet. He seems OK to continue so we'll get back to the action.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Peterson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


John is rocked!

and Peterson counters with a huge right that knocks John out cold! Peterson is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). George Peterson!
