Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CJ Saaim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saaim has chosen Chelsea Dagger as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Saaim shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Lucas has hold of Saaim's hands but Saaim slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Lucas is looking to control Saaim's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lucas avoid being mounted?

Lucas misses with a takedown attempt - Saaim sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Lucas fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Saaim avoids it really well and circles away.

Lucas has been working on his balance at Die Trying Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Saaim.

Saaim pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lucas back to the cage. Saaim follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lucas throws a big counter combination but Saaim scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Saaim shoots in and bounces Lucas off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Lucas kicks Saaim off and gets to his feet.
Lucas closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

A close second round but CJ Saaim will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Oh but Lucas is tightening it up a little... Saaim has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Saaim reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Saaim taps out! Nice BJJ there by Lucas!

CJ Saaim was interviewed post fight and said 'I tripped on my shoelace, I'll tie them and i'll be back better than ever'.
