Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Baretta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hassan Awadh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Awadh has chosen Killers as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Baretta ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hassan Awadh! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Awadh fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. An attempted straight right counter from Baretta misses the target. Awadh misses with a jab, cross combination.
Baretta shoots in and bounces Awadh off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Baretta lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Baretta 's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Baretta trying to control but Awadh is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baretta throws a big right hand that misses. Baretta lands a couple of decent looking shots. Baretta throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Awadh works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Awadh throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Awadh tries to land a sweep but no joy. Awadh looking to control.
Baretta working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Baretta is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Awadh is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Awadh has escaped and now he's on top!
Awadh must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Baretta is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Baretta is working hard here to advance position. Baretta wants to stand and escape but Awadh is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Awadh sitting in guard, not really doing much. Baretta not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight moves into the clinch position. Baretta can't get the takedown.
Awadh working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Awadh has Baretta pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Baretta manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. The referee is keeping an eye on Awadh - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
A frustrated look appears on Baretta 's face as he tries to break the clinch. Awadh lands a body shot in the clinch.
Awadh pulls guard effortlessly. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Baretta in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Awadh wants to improve his position but instead Baretta has moved into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Awadh is not content to let Baretta control the position. Baretta missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Baretta not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ground and pound from Baretta . Baretta is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Awadh has managed to free his arm - good work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Baretta lands with a punch from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mike Baretta will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Awadh looks for a takedown but Baretta sprawls well. Awadh moves into the clinch. Awadh is trying to break the clinch but Baretta is controlling him. Baretta is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Awadh to keep the fight standing. Awadh breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Awadh will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Awadh pushes Baretta up against the cage in a clinch. Awadh lands an uppercut. Awadh leaning against his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Awadh tries to work over Baretta 's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Baretta is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Awadh is defending well for now. Awadh lands a hook to the side of the head. Baretta fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Awadh jumps guard but Baretta stands there with Awadh around his waist. Awadh gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Mike Baretta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hassan Awadh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Awadh tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Baretta is defending well against a takedown attempt. Baretta breaks the clinch.
Awadh shoots for a double leg takedown but Baretta sprawls well. He's pushed Awadh's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Awadh is breathing heavily. Baretta scores with a takedown into Awadh's guard. Baretta drops back looking for a leg! Awadh is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Awadh manages to kick Baretta off! Baretta jumps back into Awadh's guard. Awadh preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baretta loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Baretta pushing down on Awadh's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Baretta frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Baretta with good strikes from the mount here! Awadh is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Baretta pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Baretta working the ground and pound effectively.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Baretta is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Awadh is looking to improve his position but Baretta isn't that keen on the idea. Baretta pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Baretta lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The referee warns Awadh that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Awadh is rocked! Baretta looking to finish Awadh with some ground and pound. This is bad for Awadh! Awadh is still in real trouble! Can Baretta finish him? Baretta postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Awadh badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Baretta around the waist but Baretta pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Baretta is the winner by TKO! Baretta jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Baretta ! After the fight, Mike Baretta was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. Hassan Awadh spoke after the fight, saying 'Congrats to the winner, that's part of the game to win or lose!!!! Sorry to all my fans and I promise to never let you guys down again...'.
