Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Grover Castaneda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ace Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castaneda closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stevens circles away.
Stevens will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stevens tries a head kick but it misses.

and Castaneda counters with a left and a right that stings Stevens.
Stevens shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
It looked like Castaneda was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Castaneda ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Castaneda no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Castaneda tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stevens sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Castaneda somewhat.

You get the feeling that Stevens really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Castaneda jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Stevens is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Stevens and Castaneda has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
