Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Equinox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crazy Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dog has chosen Beat It as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
67 - 38 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Equinox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
38 - 28 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Crazy Dog! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dog lands a jab. Dog changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Dog tests Equinox's chin there with a solid looking shot. Dog with a jab. Equinox throws a right hand that Dog ducks under and follows up with a left that Dog also avoids with ease. Equinox has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Dog scores with a jab. Donk. Dog catches Equinox right on the button with a cross. This has been an exciting period of action! Equinox takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Equinox moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Crazy Dog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dog feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Equinoxs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Dog connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Equinox momentarily.
Dog stuns Equinox with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. A punch combination from Dog misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Equinox loads up on a big right hand but Dog slips the punch. Dog is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Equinox had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Equinox on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Dog fails to land with a series of punches.
Dog cracks Equinox with a right hand to the side of the head. Dog scores with a jab to the body. Dog works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Dog lands a two punch combo.
Equinox takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Equinox gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dog to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dog missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dog drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dog jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Dog looking to pass the guard. Dog throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Equinox works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Dog forces his way into half guard. Dog takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Equinox is defending against the submission attempts here by Dog.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Equinox is not content to let Dog control the position. Dog is controlling the pace.
Dog not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Dog missing with the ground and pound from half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Dog moves into full mount! Equinox won't be happy about that! Equinox has left one of his arms exposed and Dog doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Equinox screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Crazy Dog! An out of breath Crazy Dog thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
