Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Bunting (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunner Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bunting comes to the cage accompanied by Shell Shocked. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 41 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Bunting!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gunner Harris!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harris clinches.
Bunting misses with a punch to the body.
A right hand to the body from Bunting.
Harris tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bunting smiles and moves away.
Harris shoots in and drives through. Bunting sprawls well.
Harris tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bunting swivels and escapes.
John Bunting has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gunner Harris.
Harris misses with a double jab.
Bunting was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Harris tries for a takedown but Bunting circles away easily
and Bunting counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bunting is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Harris.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bunting circles away from the clinch attempt
and Bunting counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bunting misses with a left hand
and Harris connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Harris uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bunting.
Harris on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Harris thows a leg kick but Bunting checks it
and Bunting counters with a nice body kick.
Harris throws a lazy uppercut
and Bunting counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Harris looks to land a left hand but Bunting moved out of range nicely.
Bunting misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Harris.

Harris clinches up against the cage.
Bunting throws a head punch that misses.
Bunting goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Bunting lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Harris blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bunting tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Harris manages to break the clinch.
Harris walks into a jab.
Bunting dodges the punch combination from Harris.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Harris will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Harris takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Gunner Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harris tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bunting manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bunting lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Harris closes the distance and pushes Bunting back into the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Harris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Harris shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bunting pinned against the cage. Bunting gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Harris throws an off balance right hand
and Bunting counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Harris dips to his left and cracks Bunting with an uppercut!
Harris looks to score with a jab to the body but Bunting is just out of range.
Bunting is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Harris moves away from the strike by Bunting.
Harris moves in looking to clinch but Bunting pushes him off.
An attempted straight right counter from Bunting misses the target.
Harris misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Harris instigates a clinch.
Bunting misses with a punch to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harris jumps guard but Bunting turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Bunting working aggressively here.
Bunting tries a body shot but Harris blocks it.
Bunting misses with a hook to the ribs.
Bunting tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Bunting tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Bunting is working Harris over against the cage.
Bunting is pressed up against the cage. Harris has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bunting down to the mat. Bunting avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bunting is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Bunting throws a shot to the body.
Harris tries to clinch but Bunting is having none of it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Harris stalks Bunting and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bunting's face. Bunting staggers backwards, shaken.
Harris misses with a takedown
and Bunting counters with a nice uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Bunting dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bunting jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bunting throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Harris.
Harris throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Harris drives through and clinches with Bunting against the cage.
Bunting misses with a hook from the clinch.
Bunting misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Harris pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Harris fails with the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris wants to clinch up but Bunting keeps it at a distance.
Bunting stuffs the takedown attempt from Harris. Harris gets slowly back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bunting throws a leg kick which misses Harris's front leg but catches the back leg as Harris tries to avoid it.
Harris lands with a straight right. Bunting didn't see that one coming.


It looks like John Bunting has been cut.
Harris moves in looking to clinch but Bunting pushes him off.
Harris rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bunting moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
It looked like Bunting was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Harris.
Bunting fails to land with a series of punches.
Harris wants to counter the offense by Bunting and move into the clinch position.
Harris tries for a takedown but Bunting circles away easily
and Harris takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
John Bunting has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gunner Harris.

and Bunting makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Harris is breathing heavily.
Harris tries to clinch but Bunting moves out of range.

and Bunting counters with a lovely straight right hand!


Harris is rocked!
John Bunting is winning the standup battle so far.

Bunting is stalking Harris. Harris circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Bunting, and it's lights out! Harris really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
