Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Havard Batern (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morgan Vrinceanu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morgan Vrinceanu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Havard Batern!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Morgan Vrinceanu!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vrinceanu avoids the head kick by Batern.
Batern dives in and grabs Vrinceanu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vrinceanu pushes down on Batern's head and hops out.

Batern closes the distance and pushes Vrinceanu back into the cage.
Batern leaning his opponent against the cage.

Batern drags the fight down to the ground.
Vrinceanu preventing the sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Batern controls Vrinceanu momentarily but Vrinceanu frees himself.
Vrinceanu prevents Batern from getting back to his feet.
Batern utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Batern is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Vrinceanu keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Batern prevents Vrinceanu from improving his position.
Batern tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Vrinceanu.

Batern is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vrinceanu doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Batern.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Batern scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Batern not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Vrinceanu trying to hold on to Batern's head to control him but Batern postures up.

Vrinceanu wants to control but Batern is keeping busy.

Batern tries to stand but can't do so whilst Vrinceanu controls his leg.
Vrinceanu tries to get to full guard but Batern has control of the leg.
Still in half guard, Batern seems content to control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Batern closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Batern is trying to break the clinch but Vrinceanu is controlling him.
Vrinceanu prevents Batern from breaking the clinch.
Batern is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vrinceanu has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Batern is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Vrinceanu tries to pull guard but Batern won't allow it.

Havard Batern has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Morgan Vrinceanu.
Batern wants to break the clinch but can't.

Batern shoots in for a double leg but Vrinceanu sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Batern throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vrinceanu is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Batern trying to control the position from guard on top but Vrinceanu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Vrinceanu escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Batern gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Vrinceanu is trying to control the position but Batern postures up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Vrinceanu preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Batern not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Vrinceanu not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Batern stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Batern is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vrinceanu can do to turn this around?
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Batern slaps away a takedown attempt from Vrinceanu, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Vrinceanu is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Batern is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Batern has escaped and now he's on top!

Vrinceanu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Batern wants to stand but Vrinceanu is controlling his posture from full guard.
Batern is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Vrinceanu throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Batern was covering up waiting for the punch and Vrinceanu finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Batern is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Vrinceanu drops down looking for an ankle pick but Batern pulls his leg out and moves away.

Havard Batern showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Batern, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
