Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spencer Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Bentley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Spencer Quinn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luke Bentley!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bentley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bentley avoids the head kick by Quinn.
A swing and a miss from Bentley.
Quinn tries to counter by clinching up but Bentley breaks away and moves out of range.
A jab from Quinn misses.

Bentley manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Quinn on his heels. He'll look to pass Quinn's guard now, I'm sure.
Bentley is looking to stand up but Quinn won't let him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Quinn is looking for a triangle but Bentley pushes his legs off easily.
Bentley working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Quinn's head.
Quinn pulls Bentley in close to his closed guard and prevents Bentley from doing any damage or advancing position.

Bentley stands up and waves to Quinn to follow him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bentley throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Spencer Quinn has been cut.

so Quinn counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Bentley manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Quinn manages to get himself to full guard.

Quinn thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Quinn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bentley will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Bentley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Quinn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Quinn drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bentley manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Quinn has Bentley in his guard.

Quinn has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Quinn lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Quinn drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bentley manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Quinn has Bentley in his guard.

Quinn is breathing heavily.
Quinn bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bentley's guard.

Quinn is looking to work some ground and pound but Bentley has wrist control.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Quinn is on top in guard.

Quinn has gone for a leg lock! Bentley slips out almost immediately though and dives into Quinn's guard.

Bentley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bentley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Quinn is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bentley connects with a decent elbow.
Quinn takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Quinn is looking to reverse the position.
Bentley lands an elbow.
Quinn tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Bentley presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Bentley is landing with some decent strikes but Quinn is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Luke Bentley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Bentley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Quinn, pushing him back against the cage.
Quinn is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Bentley decides to pull guard.

Bentley kicks Quinn off and gets to his feet.
Quinn pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bentley gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Bentley gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Quinn.

Bentley gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Quinn regains guard.
Quinn is wriggling around but Bentley manages to pass to half guard.

Quinn wants to get back to full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Luke Bentley is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Quinn lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Luke Bentley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bentley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
