Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cole Taggart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Sigit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sigit has chosen Gie as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cole Taggart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, The Sigit! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A good leg kick by Taggart. Sigit fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sigit ducks right into an uppercut from Taggart. Sigit looks for a takedown but Taggart sprawls well. Sigit tries for a takedown but Taggart circles away easily and Taggart counters with a nice kick to the body. Cole Taggart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Sigit. Sigit fails to land the takedown. Taggart was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Sigit doesn't succeed with the takedown and Taggart counters with a stiff right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taggart scores with a nice right hand.
Sigit on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Jab, jab by Taggart - just one landing. Sigit shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Taggart as he avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sigit looks for a takedown but Taggart sprawls well. Sigit tries for a takedown but Taggart circles away easily and Taggart counters with a lovely straight right hand! Taggart misses with a low kick.
Sigit feints the counter takedown. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sigit is defended easily by Taggart. Taggart pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sigit throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Taggart lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Sigit drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Taggart tries to land a front kick but Sigit steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sigit throws an off balance right hand
and Taggart counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Sigit doesn't manage to clinch there - Taggart circles away.
Sigit lands a jab to the nose. Sigit gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Taggart counters with a nice uppercut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Taggart fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sigit manages to avoid it. The Sigit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sigit fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Taggart avoids it really well and circles away. Taggart throws a series of punches but Sigit moves out of range. Taggart feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sigit's calf. Sigit walks forward, straight into a front kick from Taggart.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taggart tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. A kick lands to the mid section there for Taggart. Taggart is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Sigit gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Taggart. Sigit shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Taggart as he avoids it easily. It looked like Taggart wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Sigit shoots in and drives through. Taggart sprawls well. Sigit shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Taggart pinned against the cage. Taggart gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Sigit looks winded! Taggart digs a good body shot into Sigit's ribs. Taggart fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Taggart connects with an inside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sigit blocks a head kick by Taggart.
Sigit drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Taggart defends it well. Taggart lands an overhand right. Taggart fakes the leg kick and cracks Sigit in the body. Sigit connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Taggart's hands. This has been an exciting period of action! Taggart fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sigit is out of range. Taggart slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Taggart fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Sigit takes a shot right to the bread basket. Sigit takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Taggart feints and then cracks Sigit's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sigit down. Sigit moves out of range of the strikes. Sigit shoots in but no luck this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cole Taggart dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Taggart catches Sigit with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Sigit fails with the takedown and Taggart counters with a nice uppercut. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Sigit might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Taggart has got the better of the exchanges. Sigit tries to clinch up but Taggart circles away and keeps his distance. Sigit takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Taggart scores with a punch to the head. Taggart tries to score with a low kick but Sigit moves his leg out of the way. Taggart is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sigit can do to turn this around? Sigit is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Taggart's half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Taggart manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Taggart looking for a sweep. Not yet Taggart, not yet. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Taggart looking to control.
Taggart knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sigit on the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sigit with a flurry of punches that miss. Taggart is looking to stand up but Sigit isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taggart trying to keep a closed guard but Sigit is proving a slippery customer.
Sigit advances to half guard. Taggart wants to get back to full guard. Taggart wants to control but Sigit is keeping busy and won't allow it. Taggart won't allow Sigit to pass to mount. Sigit prevents Taggart from standing back up.
Sigit seems to be looking for submissions.
Sigit landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Taggart is trying to get back to full guard. Taggart is working hard here to advance position. Sigit has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taggart is defending against the submission attempts here by Sigit.
Taggart is looking to control Sigit's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Taggart avoid being mounted? The fighters are battling for position here. Taggart manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Sigit won't allow Taggart to sweep him here. Sigit chips away with some ground and pound. Sigit won't allow Taggart to sweep him here. Taggart keeping moving, preventing Sigit from controlling successfully. Taggart wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Sigit manages to pass to side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taggart is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Taggart is looking to control Sigit's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Taggart avoid being mounted? Sigit lands with a punch from half guard. Taggart on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Taggart tries to get out of the position. Sigit working the head and body with strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sigit prevents Taggart from improving his position. Taggart trying to get back to full guard but Sigit takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! BOOM! Sigit connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Taggart tries to reverse the position but Sigit maintains control. Taggart tries to improve his position but Sigit has taken his back! Sigit has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Taggart tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Sigit pushes Taggart away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). The Sigit! In his post fight interview, The Sigit gave a big smile as he said 'Where r u sergio burjol? Lets fight bruuh!'. Cole Taggart was interviewed post fight and said 'Well it seems it wasn't my day today, sorry folks!'.
