The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahoney lands with a thumping leg kick.

Blackwater swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mahoney ducks under a wild hook from Blackwater.
Blackwater steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mahoney.
It looked like Blackwater wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Mahoney scoring well with a low kick there.
Blackwater throws a looping overhand right but Mahoney ducks down to avoid it.
Blackwater is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mahoney.
Blackwater moves into the clinch successfully.
Mahoney stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Mahoney is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mahoney throws a lazy right hand but Blackwater sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Blackwater sizes up Mahoney with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Oooooh!!! Mahoney has knocked Blackwater down with a huge combo! Mahoney steps away and waves a wobbly Blackwater back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Axel Blackwater has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mahoney is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Blackwater flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Blackwater is out cold! Mahoney holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

After winning the bout, Dick Mahoney thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
