Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Logan Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gilbert Hobbes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gilbert Hobbes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Logan Scott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gilbert Hobbes! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hobbes doesn't seem bothered though. Scott looks to land a right hand but Hobbes moved out of range. And Hobbes tries to counter it with a takedown but Scott pushes his down on his head and steps out. Scott looks to score with a jab to the body but Hobbes is just out of range. Hobbes is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Scott throws a series of punches but Hobbes avoids them all with ease. Hobbes changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Hobbes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Scott swats him away and circles back towards the center. Scott misses with a looping left. Hobbes is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Hobbes connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Scott throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hobbes. Scott tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hobbes was well out of range. Poor timing from Scott. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good standup being displayed there by Scott as he connects with a hook. Scott gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Scott works on Hobbes's body with a couple of short punches. Hobbes drags the fight down to the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott with a flurry of punches that miss. Scott got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hobbes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Scott has managed to get both his arms back between Hobbes's legs - danger averted. Scott throws a big elbow that misses. Hobbes avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Scott sitting in guard here, content to control. Hobbes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Scott manages to get himself to full guard.
Scott managing to control the position. Hobbes trying to control the position from guard on top but Scott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scott looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Hobbes puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Hobbes is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Hobbes is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Scott wants to improve his position but Hobbes is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hobbes wants to take a breather but Scott is having none of it. Scott is looking to improve his position.
Scott on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Scott tries to get out of the position. Hobbes is working for a submission of some sort.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hobbes lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Scott keeping hold of Hobbes's head, controlling as best he can. Hobbes tries to pass to full mount but Scott defends it. Scott is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hobbes is looking to take a break and control but Scott is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Logan Scott will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Hobbes takes a jab right on the kisser.
Hobbes's coach down at 3Band MMA ($500/week) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hobbes's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Scott misses with a looping right. Scott lands a body shot.
A slow jab from Scott misses its intended target. Good standup being displayed there by Scott as he connects with a hook. Scott waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hobbes. We've been told by Scott's head coaches at Double XX that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Scott throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scott looks to score with a jab to the body but Hobbes is just out of range. Logan Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Scott lands with a big left! Hobbes is wobbled badly! Scott comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Hobbes to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Logan Scott!
