Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reno Rawlings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Rawlings's choice of entrance music: Burned. Rodney Smith has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Rawlings holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Rawlings dodges an elbow strike from Smith.
Rawlings blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Smith misses with a punch on the inside.
Smith lands a nice uppercut.
Rawlings holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Smith misses with the head strike.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smith shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rawlings defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A slow jab from Smith misses its intended target.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch but Rawlings swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Smith working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rawlings doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rawlings manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Reno Rawlings made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying '(super serious) I will continue to destroy all those that block my path to eternal glory. (brief pause) David your soul now belongs to Reno Rawlings. (laughs...) Master guide me to my next victim. (then disappears)'.
