Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brad Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tucker Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brad Monroe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tucker Green! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Monroe's guard. Monroe is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Green defends well. Green stopping the sweep attempt from Monroe. Monroe had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Green defends it easily. Green wants to pass the guard but Monroe is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Green throws a strike but Monroe rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Monroe trying to control but Green is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monroe is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Monroe seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Green for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Monroe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Green wants to stand and escape but Monroe is having none of it. Green being controlled here, momentarily.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Tucker Green seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Green darts in and clinches Monroe up against the cage. Green breaks from the clinch.
Green lands with a kick to the temple. Monroe shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Brad Monroe has been cut. Monroe throws a sloppy head kick and Green moves out of range easily. Monroe tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Green paws at him with a jab and circles away. Green steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Monroe.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Monroe closes this distance looking for a takedown but Green circles away. Green fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Monroe, pushing him back against the cage. Monroe is fighting off a takedown attempt but Green is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Monroe to the mat. Monroe regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Monroe not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Monroe manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Monroe changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Green fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Green leaves Monroe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Green changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brad Monroe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Green fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Monroe sprawls well initially but Green persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Monroe pushes Green off and gets back to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Monroe gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Green to score an easy takedown into full guard. Monroe is breathing heavily. Green stands up over Monroe, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Monroe is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tucker Green will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Brad Monroe's cut. That's time! Monroe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Green rushes Monroe and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Green jumps guard.
Green is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Monroe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Green wants to stand and escape but Monroe is having none of it. Green looking to control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Green can do anything to dispel that myth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Monroe looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Green is trying to control the position but Monroe postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green wants to improve his position but instead Monroe has moved into half guard.
Monroe is looking for a kimura here.
Green looking for submissions off his back. Monroe keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Monroe looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Nice strikes from Monroe there. Green wants to get back to full guard but Monroe has mounted him!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Monroe has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Green's face.
Monroe has hold of Green's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Green manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Monroe trying to control but Green is having none of it. Monroe content just to control the position here. Green really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Green tries to lock up and control but Monroe gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Monroe working away from the top, dropping strikes. Green keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Monroe avoids the attempt from Green to control. Brad Monroe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Green is breathing heavily. Green is wriggling around trying to escape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Green tries to hold on but Monroe postures up. Monroe controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brad Monroe dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Brad Monroe's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Monroe darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Green is looking to get back to is feet but Monroe passes into side control.
Monroe prevents Green from escaping the position. Monroe in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Green is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Monroe is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Monroe tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Monroe's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee warns Green that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Green takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Monroe controlling from mount. Monroe goes for an armbar but Green turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Green. Green prevents Monroe from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Monroe working a defensive guard here.
Green working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Monroe has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Green is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Green breaks the clinch.
Green closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Green takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Monroe pushes Green away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Green gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Green tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Monroe avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Green. Monroe wants to control but Green postures up. Green stands up. Green tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Monroe manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Green misses with a hook
and Monroe counters with a series of strikes. Green will be more careful next time no doubt. Monroe doesn't manage to clinch there - Green circles away.
Monroe sets himself, and Green steps forward looking for the clinch! Monroe avoids it this time. Monroe gets a takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Monroe trying to control the pace. Green works his way to full guard. Good work. Green wants to hit a switch here but Monroe passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Green there! Monroe tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! Brad Monroe showed his dominance in that final round. I think Monroe has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
