Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tyson Frost! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Seki Date! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frost dives in and grabs Date's left leg, looking for a takedown. Date pushes down on Frost's head and hops out. Frost gets a clinch. Date tries to throw a body punch but Frost avoids it by throwing Date back against the cage. Date working hard to break the clinch. Frost looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Frost pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Date pushes Frost up against the cage in a clinch. Date lands a body shot in the clinch.
Date gets through Frost's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Date manages to break the clinch.
Date misses with a two punch combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Date connects with a body shot that sends Frost's belly button to the back. Frost throws the kick towards the body but Date avoids it. Date lands a jab to the head.
Date has Frost up against the cage in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Date throws an elbow that misses.
Date breaks the clinch.
Frost drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Frost tries to keep at a distance but Date has taken the fight into the clinch. Date manages to break the clinch.
Frost gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Date closes the distance and pushes Frost back into the cage. Date swings wildly with an uppercut but Frost uses good head movement to avoid it. Frost's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Date wants to break the clinch but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Date pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Date lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Frost shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Frost showed some decent athleticism there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Date is trying to stand.
Frost is working for a kimura but Date is defending it quite comfortably.
Date is staying active underneath Frost, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Date wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Date clinches up against the cage. Date has Frost pressed against the cage, preventing Frost from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Frost breaks the clinch.
Date wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Date moves into the clinch. Date misses with some punches.
Frost prevents Date from breaking the clinch. Frost is trying to break the clinch but Date is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Date tries to break the clinch but Frost is controlling the position. Date has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Date escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Frost tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Date paws at him with a jab and circles away. Date forces Frost back against the cage and clinches. Frost swings wildly with an uppercut but Date uses good head movement to avoid it. Frost wants to break the clinch but can't.
Frost pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Date moves into range and clinches up with Frost. Frost blocks an uppercut.
Date manages to break the clinch.
Date connects with a jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Seki Date dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Frost shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Date as he avoids it easily. Date has closed the distance and engaged Frost in a clinch.
Seki Date seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Frost is trying to break free. Date breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Date gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Frost manages to break the clinch.
Date instigates a clinch. Date is pushing Frost up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Date manages to break the clinch.

Frost's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Date connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Frost scrambles back to his feet. Date has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Frost shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Frost changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Date tries to avoid it but Frost manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Date to the ground. Date escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. It seemed like Date was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Frost. That's going to take a lot out of him. Date misses with a combination
and Frost moves into the clinch. Stalling in the clinch from Date.

Frost misses with a body kick. Date clinches up against the cage. Frost is trying to push Date away but Date has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Frost has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Frost has had enough of the clinch but Date keeps him there for the moment. Frost breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Date clinches up against the cage. Frost pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Date lands a jab. Seki Date seems to be getting the better of the standup. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Date drives through and clinches with Frost against the cage.

Date clinches up with Frost and pushes him back against the cage. A short right from Date on the inside. Frost wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Date connects with a nice looking jab.
Frost is rocked! Seki Date is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Date flashes Frost a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Frost's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Frost crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Date punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
