The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rothstein tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dmuchowski paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A nice combination there by Rothstein.

It looks like Eric Dmuchowski has been cut.
Dmuchowski throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rothstein throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dmuchowski's waist but Dmuchowski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rothstein off to one side.
Rothstein throws a low kick but Dmuchowski avoids it.
Rothstein looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Dmuchowski loads up on a big right hand but Rothstein slips the punch.
Al Rothstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dmuchowski is pressed up against the cage. Rothstein has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dmuchowski down to the mat. Dmuchowski avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Eric Dmuchowski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Al Rothstein.
