Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pave Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Macon Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pave Hunt! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Macon Sackett! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunt tries to land a front kick but Sackett steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Good shot there by Hunt. Sackett throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hunt. Hunt connects with a leg kick. Sackett looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. A jab lands there for Sackett. Hunt lands a jab to Sackett's midsection. Hunt avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Sackett throws out a powerful jab. Hunt jabs Sackett right on the nose. Sackett blinks but takes it well.
It looks like Macon Sackett has been cut. Sackett throws a nice inside leg kick. Hunt slips under a jab. Sackett has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hunt tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. The fight moves into the clinch position. Sackett swings wildly with an uppercut but Hunt uses good head movement to avoid it. Hunt's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunt blocks an uppercut.
Hunt tries to work over Sackett's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Hunt has a couple of punches blocked by Sackett.
Sackett tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Sackett struggles to land a body shot inside as Hunt controls his hands.
Sackett misses with a hook to the ribs.
Hunt misses with a short punch on the inside. Sackett lands a body punch in the clinch. Sackett doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Hunt. Sackett misses with a body punch.

Hunt lands a right hand that snaps the head of Sackett backwards. A short left from Sackett. Sackett has a couple of punches blocked by Hunt.
Hunt lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sackett backwards. The referee is keeping an eye on Hunt - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
A right handed body shot lands from Sackett.
I was talking to Hunt's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sackett breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sackett throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Hunt stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Sackett follows into mount!
It looks like Pave Hunt has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Sackett working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Hunt is rocked! Hunt keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Sackett misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Sackett throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Hunt is squirming around, avoiding Sackett's attempts to control the action. Hunt is working to get back to half guard.
Hunt tries to lock up and control but Sackett gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sackett sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunt tries to hold on but Sackett pushes him away. Sackett postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Hunt bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Sackett and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Macon Sackett! Macon Sackett is the new middleweight champion!
