Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy McGill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khalabib Nurmagodingdong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Khalabib Nurmagodingdong!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGill looking to score a takedown here. Nurmagodingdong is defending well but McGill drives through and ends up in Nurmagodingdong's guard.
McGill throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nurmagodingdong works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McGill accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
McGill postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Nurmagodingdong is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
McGill is in close to Nurmagodingdong's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Nurmagodingdong avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nurmagodingdong can do anything to dispel that myth.

It looks like Nurmagodingdong might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy McGill will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


McGill misses with a takedown attempt - Nurmagodingdong sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Nurmagodingdong shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Nurmagodingdong was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nurmagodingdong connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused McGill some visible discomfort.

Khalabib Nurmagodingdong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
