Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frederic Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deair Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Deair Shaw enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alexander gets tackled into the cage by Shaw. Shaw maintains the clinch.
Alexander is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Shaw is defending well.

Shaw has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Alexander regains guard immediately.

Alexander goes for a double leg but Shaw avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Shaw continues to drive forward.

Shaw closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Alexander shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shaw pinned against the cage. Shaw gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Alexander feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Shaw is wriggling around but Alexander manages to pass to half guard.

Alexander is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Alexander looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shaw with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Alexander takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Alexander is nestled in close to Shaw, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
