Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Idriss Akinfenwa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akinfenwa comes to the cage accompanied by Rim'k - Monster. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Idriss Akinfenwa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jonny Blaze! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blaze leaves Akinfenwa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Akinfenwa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Blaze pinned against the cage. Blaze gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Blaze throws a right and a left that Akinfenwa avoids nicely. Akinfenwa drops down looking for a counter takedown but Blaze sprawls and moves away. Akinfenwa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blaze sprawls well. Blaze wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Akinfenwa gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Idriss Akinfenwa. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blaze misses with a wild combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Blaze throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Akinfenwa has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Some wild striking there from Blaze.
Akinfenwa half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. A left and a right from Blaze both land. Nice combination. Blaze fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Blaze has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. Akinfenwa darts in looking for a takedown but Blaze gets double underhooks and turns Akinfenwa into the cage. A decent looking body kick lands there for Blaze. Akinfenwa takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Blaze looks winded!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blaze drives through with a takedown into Akinfenwa's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Akinfenwa uses the cage to get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Akinfenwa with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Blaze to score with a decent uppercut. Akinfenwa looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Blaze! Akinfenwa is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Blaze is trying to escape and Akinfenwa transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Blaze is forced to tap! Nice work there by Akinfenwa! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Idriss Akinfenwa! Idriss Akinfenwa decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
