The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lannister moves into the clinch.

Lannister digs a right hand into Kankkunen's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kankkunen's gas tank.
Lannister takes an elbow to the temple.
Lannister wants the takedown. Kankkunen is fighting it off but Lannister persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kankkunen's guard against the cage.
Lannister in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Lannister not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Kankkunen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lannister keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kankkunen's head.
Lannister is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Kankkunen wants to get back to his feet but Lannister is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Lannister postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lannister drops back looking for a leg! Kankkunen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kankkunen manages to kick Lannister off! Lannister jumps back into Kankkunen's guard.
Lannister postures up in Kankkunen's guard and throws a big left but Kankkunen blocks it.
Kankkunen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lannister on the ground.

Lannister not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Lannister connects with a right hand. Kankkunen shakes it off.
Lannister looks to land a combination. Kankkunen sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Lannister blocks a head kick by Kankkunen.
Lannister misses with a head kick.
Kankkunen gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Lannister throws a head kick but Kankkunen moves out of range.
Lannister throws a sloppy head kick
and Kankkunen counters with a series of strikes. Lannister will be more careful next time no doubt.
Lannister dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kankkunen is breathing heavily.
Lannister throws a body kick that misses.
Lannister takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Lannister delivers a nice body kick.
Kankkunen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lannister holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Lannister lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kankkunen backwards.
Kankkunen is rocked!
Lannister unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Kankkunen! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Lannister is unloading with more strikes now! Kankkunen drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
