Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between RJ JR (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flip Marsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, RJ JR! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Flip Marsden! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! JR feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Marsden's calf. A lazy body kick from JR and Marsden makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. JR misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Sloppy strikes from Marsden. Those never looked like landing. JR misses with a takedown attempt enabling Marsden to counter with a crisp jab. Marsden cracks JR with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Marsden lands with a cross. Marsden listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Marsden lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! JR shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Marsden as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for RJ JR. That's going to take a lot out of him. Marsden gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marsden is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Marsden looking to hit a scissor sweep but JR is one step ahead there. JR trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. JR is looking to stand up but Marsden won't let him. JR pushes down on Marsden's leg and manages to get into half guard. Marsden really doesn't want to stay on the ground with JR. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Marsden is looking for a sweep. JR is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. JR wants to free his trapped foot but Marsden is holding on for dear life with his legs. Marsden is doing well to control the position and prevent JR from advancing to side control. JR passes to full mount! Marsden tries to improve his position but JR has taken his back! JR has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Marsden tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! JR pushes Marsden away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). RJ JR!
