Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toshi Matoshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hawkins might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Wu-Tang Clan - C.R.E.A.M. Matoshin has chosen Mortal Kombat theme as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 15 - 2, fighting out of New York, Lamont Hawkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 43 - 26 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Toshi Matoshin!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Matoshin attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Hawkins works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Matoshin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hawkins is trying to defend but Matoshin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Matoshin feints and then cracks Hawkins's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hawkins down.

Matoshin lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Matoshin throws out a counter right but Hawkins avoids it with no problem.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lamont Hawkins will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Hawkins fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Matoshin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Matoshin has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hawkins.
Matoshin walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hawkins lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Lamont Hawkins showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Hawkins has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A less than humble Lamont Hawkins misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
