Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Barant! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tamas Prochazka! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barant comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Barant tries for a takedown but Prochazka sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Barant looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Barant misses with a series of wild punches.

Prochazka's coach down at England Fight Club MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Prochazka's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Prochazka lands with a shot to the body. Prochazka checks a leg kick nicely. Barant jabs Prochazka to the body, keeping him at a distance. Barant jabbing away but nothing is landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A bone on bone clash there as Prochazka blocks the leg kick.
Prochazka lands a jab-cross combination. Prochazka lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Barant misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Prochazka counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barant bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Prochazka's head. Barant shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Barant was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. The ground and pound from Barant seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Prochazka taking a bit of punishment here - Barant scoring with strikes. Barant misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Barant lands a few punches from side control. Barant sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Prochazka is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barant creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Prochazka sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Prochazka taking a bit of punishment here - Barant scoring with strikes. Barant tries to score with some ground and pound. Prochazka controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Prochazka managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Barant.
Barant lands an elbow. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barant in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. An elbow from Barant crashes against the mat.
Barant scoring with punches and elbows. Barant throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Barant lands a nice forearm strike. An elbow from Barant crashes against the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Check out the look on Barant's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The ground and pound from Barant seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Barant cracks Prochazka with a big right hand but Prochazka just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Barant tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Barant throws an elbow but Prochazka slips to the side and avoids it well. Barant working the body and head with strikes. Barant landing a few strikes. The strikes coming from Barant are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Barant connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Prochazka some visible discomfort.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Barant working the body and head with strikes. Barant controls the position. Barant is working Prochazka over with some ground and pound from side control. Barant has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sloppy strikes there by Barant. Prochazka is working to avoid the ground and pound but Barant connects with a decent elbow. Barant postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Barant wants to control but Prochazka is keeping him busy. Barant scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Prochazka to see if he's OK. Barant prevents Prochazka from escaping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Barant misses with a right hand enabling Prochazka to counter with a crisp jab. Barant throws a lazy uppercut
and Prochazka counters with a stiff right hand. Barant looks to score with a jab to the body but Prochazka is just out of range. Barant takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Barant uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Prochazka.

Prochazka feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barants jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Barant with a lazy takedown attempt and Prochazka cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Barant misses with a jab, cross combination.

Barant is rocked! Barant throws a wild hook but Prochazka just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Barant gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Prochazka raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tamas Prochazka!
