Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mauricio Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kimbo Slice!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rua swivels and escapes.
Horrible takedown by Slice or perhaps it was just good defense by Rua which made him look bad.
Slice tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rua paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Slice misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mauricio Rua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kimbo Slice.
Slice will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Slice is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rua swats away the attempt to clinch by Slice.
Slice throws a solid leg kick but Rua takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Slice.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Slice doesn't manage to clinch there - Rua circles away.
Slice throws a nice looking combination but Rua bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Slice fails to land with a series of punches.
No luck for Slice with that takedown attempt.
Slice circles away from the clinch attempt.
Slice avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Slice looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Slice is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Rua tries to clinch up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Slice closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Slice gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slice is posturing up here but Rua has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Slice tries to roll out but it's too tight and Slice has to tap! Slick submission there by Rua!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mauricio Rua!
