Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Larry Mayflower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abioye Nazari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nazari has chosen Do You Call My Name by Ra as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayflower tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Nazari manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Mayflower attempts a counter takedown but Nazari avoids it well and moves away.

As Nazari tries to get set, Mayflower tries to push him back and clinch up but Nazari manages to avoid the attempt.
Nazari misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nazari stalks Mayflower and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mayflower's face. Mayflower staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Larry Mayflower has been cut.
Mayflower tries to clinch but Nazari moves out of range.

Nazari shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Nazari is thwarting Mayflower's attempts to control the position.
Nazari takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Mayflower tries to roll over but Nazari keeps him under control.

Mayflower manages to work his way to half guard, despite Nazari 's best efforts.

Nazari is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mayflower sees it coming and defends easily.

Nazari looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mayflower wants to get back to full guard.

Mayflower might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nazari is looking to take a break and control but Mayflower is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mayflower tries to clinch up but Nazari circles away and keeps his distance.

Nazari changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Nazari has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Mayflower is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Abioye Nazari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nazari throws a front kick that sends Mayflower stumbling back into the ropes.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Mayflower takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

A left and a right from Nazari both land. Nice combination.
Mayflower on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Nazari rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mayflower moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nazari misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nazari feints and then cracks Mayflower's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mayflower down.
Abioye Nazari seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Nazari throws a nice inside leg kick.
Nazari fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mayflower manages to avoid it.

Nazari bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Nazari tries for a kimura but Mayflower is defending well.
The referee asks Nazari politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Nazari prefers to stall for the moment though.

Mayflower struggling a bit here.

Nazari wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mayflower, who protects the arm well.

Nazari has hold of Mayflower's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Mayflower seems comfortable defending it but Nazari has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Mayflower is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Mayflower is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Nazari couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Abioye Nazari !
An out of breath Abioye Nazari thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
