Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jose Cronos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali Pasha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cronos comes to the cage accompanied by Sandstorm. Jose Cronos has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
35 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Cronos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 19 - 2, fighting out of New York, Ali Pasha! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pasha doesn't manage to clinch there - Cronos circles away.
Cronos has been working on his boxing with his coaches at MM eh Academy in the buildup to the fight. Pasha just misses with a punch to the body.
Pasha doesn't succeed with the takedown and Cronos counters with a left and a right that stings Pasha. Jab, jab by Pasha - just one landing. Pasha wants to clinch up but Cronos keeps it at a distance. Ali Pasha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A leg kick checked by Cronos. A counter left hand to the body from Cronos misses its target. Cronos connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Pasha lands a head kick. Cronos smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Pasha slips a jab and a cross from Cronos.
Cronos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pasha tries to avoid it but Cronos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pasha to the ground. Pasha escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Cronos. Pasha does a little dance to reset his feet. Pasha throws a head kick but Cronos moves out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cronos darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pasha scores with a nice right hand.
Cronos throws a push kick but Pasha slaps the foot to one side. Pasha scores with a jab to the jaw. Pasha tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cronos paws at him with a jab and circles away. Pasha showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cronos.
Cronos avoids the head kick by Pasha.
Cronos is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Pasha throws a lazy head kick and Cronos counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Pasha lands a jab. Cronos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sloppy strikes from Cronos. Those never looked like landing. Cronos connects with the punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cronos throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pasha tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cronos is in Pasha's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pasha tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cronos tries to free his leg and advance position but Pasha is retaining full guard. Pasha keeping moving, preventing Cronos from controlling successfully. Pasha throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Cronos wants to control from the top but Pasha keeps moving. Pasha working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cronos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cronos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Cronos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pasha has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cronos has managed to get both his arms back between Pasha's legs - danger averted. Pasha looking for a sweep. Not yet Pasha, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cronos passes Pasha's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Pasha has a hand on Cronos's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Cronos takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Pasha manages to regain half guard. Good work. Cronos is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Pasha is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Pasha manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Cronos is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Pasha is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Cronos has his hands clasped together but Pasha extends and breaks Cronos's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Pasha.
