Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Diehard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
29 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tito Sobis! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sobis throws a front kick that sends Diehard stumbling back into the cage. Diehard gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sobis counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Bruce Diehard has been cut. Diehard misses with an uppercut. Diehard slips under a jab. Diehard throwing a counter right hand but Sobis manages to avoid it. Sobis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A shot to the liver by Diehard. Beautiful body shot. Sobis misses the shot to the body. It looked like Diehard wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Diehard avoids the body shot from Sobis.
Diehard throws a predictable looking body shot
and Sobis counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Diehard scores with a decent looking hook. Tito Sobis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diehard takes a swing at Sobis's ribcage but misses. Sobis throws a sloppy head kick and Diehard moves out of range easily. We've been hearing reports that Diehard has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Sobis throws a leg kick but Diehard checks it. Sobis fails to land with a series of punches.
This has been an exciting period of action! Sobis paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Diehard looks for a takedown but Sobis sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diehard fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sobis, pushing him back against the cage. A shot in the inside from Diehard. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Diehard. Sobis avoiding damage.
Sobis blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Diehard misses with a hook from the clinch. Sobis is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Diehard fails to land. Diehard lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Sobis. Sobis is trying to stall.
A right hook to the body lands for Diehard.
A left hand lands to the body for Diehard.
Sobis looks winded!

Diehard swings wildly with an uppercut but Sobis uses good head movement to avoid it. Diehard misses with the head strike.
Diehard drags the fight down to the ground.
Diehard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sobis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Diehard is tightening it up a little... Sobis has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Sobis reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Sobis taps out! Nice BJJ there by Diehard!
