Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jong Son Park!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richmond shoots for a double leg takedown but Park sprawls well. He's pushed Richmond's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Park is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Richmond is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Richmond has escaped and now he's on top!

That was a close round but I would say that Rolland Richmond will probably get the nod.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Richmond flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Jong Son Park has got the better of the ground game so far.

Park swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Richmond is now in Park's guard. A big mistake from Park there, giving up the dominant position!
Richmond has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Richmond shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Richmond was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Richmond wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Park's closed guard. He's half up but Park has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Park pivots and extends the arm, Richmond falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Park! Well done that man!
