Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Waldo Nunez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boyka has chosen Boyka as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Fedor Mirinova and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boyka bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Nunez is looking for a sweep.
Boyka working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boyka looks up at the clock and then as Nunez takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Boyka smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Nunez is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boyka might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nunez haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Nunez keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Boyka is looking to take a break and control but Nunez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Boyka is just content to waste time from the top position. Nunez takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Nunez seems keen to control Boyka's posture.
Nunez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Nunez's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Boyka shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nunez but Nunez pushes him off and we're back to square one.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Nunez is trying to break free.
Nunez has Boyka pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Boyka manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Boyka. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Nunez in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Boyka is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Nunez slips a nice elbow through Boyka's hands, connecting with Boyka's forehead.

Boyka changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nunez tries to avoid it but Boyka manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nunez to the ground. Nunez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Yuri Boyka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Despite the aggression on Boyka's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Boyka drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nunez dives on top into guard.

I would just about give that final round to Yuri Boyka.
Well Boyka has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
