Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
33 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Doctor Doolittle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
46 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brenden Abbott!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbott wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Abbott throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A jab from Abbott does it's job there.
Doolittle throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Brenden Abbott has been cut.
Doolittle thows a body kick. Abbott tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Doolittle takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Abbott walks into a left hand.
Abbott takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Doolittle lands a big right hand that sends Abbott crashing to the mat! Doolittle stays standing though and waves Abbott back to his feet!
Abbott is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Abbott is still on wobbly legs! Can Doolittle finish him?
Doolittle softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Doolittle blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Abbott lands a hook to the side of the head.
Abbott looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
A nice right hand lands inside from Doolittle.
Doolittle creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Abbott with a big uppercut! Abbott tries to clinch up but Doolittle pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Abbott to the mat! Abbott covers up and Doolittle unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Doctor Doolittle!
After winning the bout, Doctor Doolittle thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
