Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Cunningham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaxon Dutch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cunningham's entrance music is Fuck Ya'll We're From Texas. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Curtis Cunningham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jaxon Dutch!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cunningham gets a takedown into half guard.
Cunningham wants to take a breather but Dutch is having none of it.

Cunningham stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dutch swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cunningham is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cunningham is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Cunningham shoots in and drives through. Dutch sprawls well.

Cunningham drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dutch looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dutch looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dutch!
Cunningham is breathing heavily.
Cunningham is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Dutch closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Cunningham is trying to control but can't.
Cunningham moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Cunningham pushes Dutch off and gets back to his feet.

Cunningham bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cunningham in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Cunningham wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dutch keeps working.
Cunningham throws a strike aimed at the side of Dutch's head but Dutch avoids it well.
Cunningham misses with the ground and pound.
Dutch dodges the ground and pound from Cunningham.
Cunningham connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Dutch some visible discomfort.
Cunningham has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Cunningham thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Dutch manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Cunningham moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Curtis Cunningham will probably get the nod.

Dutch is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Cunningham throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Dutch because Cunningham loaded up on that one.
Dutch is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Dutch tries to reverse the position but Cunningham maintains control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dutch might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cunningham kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Dutch looks like he's trying to stand up.

Dutch manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Cunningham bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dutch's guard.
Cunningham is looking to stand up but Dutch won't let him.
Dutch looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Curtis Cunningham will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Cunningham looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dutch lands with a thumping leg kick.

Jaxon Dutch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cunningham is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Dutch.

Cunningham has Dutch pressed against the cage.
Dutch takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

A body shot lands from Dutch.
Cunningham wants to get back to striking at distance but Dutch won't allow it.
Cunningham tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dutch smiles and moves away.

Cunningham slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Cunningham is chipping away with strikes.
Cunningham wants to control but Dutch is keeping him busy.
Dutch looks to move to half guard but instead Cunningham has passed into mount! Damn!
Dutch tries to hold on but Cunningham pushes him away.
Dutch holds on for dear life, controlling Cunningham's posture momentarily.

Cunningham takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Cunningham uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dutch.
Dutch connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Cunningham tumbling to the canvas! Dutch pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Cunningham was done - good stoppage!
