Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Blink Monk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clayton Atkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monk comes into the arena with The Ghost of Tom Joad blaring out of the sound system. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atkinson lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Blink Monk has been cut.

Monk moves into the clinch successfully.

Monk shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Atkinson as he jumps to the side.

Atkinson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Atkinson lands a glancing blow to the side of Monk's head.

Monk ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Atkinson moves away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As Monk backs off Atkinson throws a huge counter combo but Monk manages to avoid it all.
Atkinson throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Atkinson lands a big head kick that sends Monk tumbling to the mat! Atkinson takes a step backwards and waves Monk back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Monk is rocked!
Monk closes the distance looking to clinch
and Atkinson scores with a counter punch that sends Monk to the canvas! Atkinson smells blood - he's punishing Monk with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Monk has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

A relieved looking Clayton Atkinson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
