Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Otavio Martins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Lainey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eddie Lainey struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lainey fails to land with a series of punches.

Martins looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Martins was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Lainey moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

We've been told by Martins's head coaches at Shark Tank MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

and Martins connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Martins catches Lainey with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Lainey throws a looping overhand right but Martins ducks down to avoid it.
Lainey throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Martins walks into a left hand.
Martins takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Eddie Lainey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Eddie Lainey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martins bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lainey's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lainey misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Lainey is countered with a crisp right hand from Martins that sends him to the canvas! Martins follows him to the mat into side control.

Martins is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lainey knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Martins is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Lainey bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Lainey uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Martins.
Martins lands a nice hook to Lainey's body. Lainey takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Lainey fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Martins on the side of the head.
Lainey smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Lainey takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Martins moves into the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lainey misses with a hook from the clinch.
Lainey is looking to break free of the clinch but Martins has double underhooks.
Martins lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Martins pushes Lainey back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Martins creates a bit of distance for himself, with Lainey pressed up against the cage and cracks Lainey with a massive uppercut! Lainey goes down! He's out cold! Wow, that was some serious power there by Martins!
