Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Red Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tae Shik Cha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cha has chosen Emancipator - When I Go as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Red Bush! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Tae Shik Cha! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cha keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bush. Cha darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Cha connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bush's hands. Cha has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Some wild striking there from Cha.
Bush is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Cha. Bush steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cha. Cha fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cha lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Red Bush has been cut. Cha throws a hook but Bush avoids it easily. Cha forces Bush back against the ropes and clinches. Cha tries a body shot but Bush blocks it.
Cha pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. This has been an exciting period of action! Bush tries to close the distance and clinch but Cha swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Cha throws a body punch but Bush moves out of range. Bush avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nice defenses there by Cha. Cha loads up on a big right hand but Bush slips the punch. Cha throws an overhand right that lands on Bush's shoulder, as Bush tries to avoid the shot. Tae Shik Cha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cha throws a series of punches but Bush avoids them all with ease. Cha lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bush circles away quickly and effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cha moves into range and clinches up with Bush. Cha breaks from the clinch.

Cha pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cha throws a lazy right hand but Bush sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cha closes the distance and clinches. Bush blocking some punches.

Tae Shik Cha dominated that round. The cut man is working on Red Bush's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Cha swings and misses with a hook to the body.

He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Bush lands a really nice looking cross but Cha seems unphased.

Bush tries to keep at a distance but Cha has taken the fight into the clinch. Cha fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cha's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bush cracks Cha with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Bush has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Cha clinches up with Bush and pushes him back against the ropes. Cha blocks an elbow strike. Cha breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Cha takes the fight into the clinch. Cha has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Bush lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bush throws an elbow but it misses.
