Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mervin Cobb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sikander Aslam!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Cobb both land. Nice combination.
Aslam tries to clinch up.
Aslam gets a clinch.
Cobb pushes off an throws an elbow but Aslam leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Aslam wants to break free but Cobb has control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aslam blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Aslam wants the takedown. Cobb is fighting it off but Aslam persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Cobb's guard against the cage.

Aslam is looking to pass into half guard but Cobb pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Cobb is in guard.

Aslam closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cobb to the mat! Cobb manages to get full guard.

Aslam throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cobb tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Aslam is in Cobb's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cobb controls Aslam momentarily but Aslam frees himself.
Cobb really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Aslam gets to his feet - Cobb follows without any prompting.
A head kick misses from Aslam.
Cobb throws a head kick but Aslam moves out of range.
Aslam has Cobb up against the cage in a clinch.
Aslam has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Aslam has Cobb pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Aslam pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Cobb tumbling to the mat - Aslam dives into Cobb's guard.

Aslam stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cobb swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cobb pulls Aslam in close to prevent any damage.

Aslam gets to his feet. Cobb looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Aslam shoots in and bounces Cobb off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Cobb is trying to control the position but Aslam postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Cobb looks to land a combination but Aslam avoids it well.

Cobb has his hands on Aslam's head, controlling the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Aslam lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cobb has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cobb and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Mervin Cobb is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Cobb throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Aslam.
Cobb swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Aslam clinches up with Cobb and pushes him back against the cage.
Cobb tries to stall but Aslam uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Cobb tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Aslam smiles and moves away.

Cobb throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Aslam is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Cobb with a body shot.

Cobb steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Aslam.
Aslam has taken the fight to the clinch.

Aslam is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Cobb can't fight it off and eventually Aslam manages to take the fight to the floor. Cobb looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Aslam tries to clinch up but Cobb circles away and keeps his distance.

Aslam has had enough of the clinch but Cobb keeps him there for the moment.
Cobb tries to land knees in the clinch but Aslam avoids the damage to the body.

Aslam's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Sikander Aslam has got the better of the ground game so far.
Aslam has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Cobb off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Aslam throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cobb was covering up waiting for the punch and Aslam finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's time! Cobb's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Cobb seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Cobb will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
