Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Musashi (ranked 353 p4p, 49 weight class) and Bobby Shamrock (ranked 129 p4p, 17 weight class). Musashi's entrance music is Obama Sings. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryu Musashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
35 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Shamrock! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Musashi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nice jab there from Musashi. A looping hook to the body misses from Musashi. Shamrock does a little dance to reset his feet. Shamrock looks like he wants to counter punch here. Musashi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Shamrock misses with a jab, cross combination.
Musashi lands a leg kick that knocks Shamrock off balance momentarily. Musashi looks to score with a jab to the body but Shamrock is just out of range. Shamrock is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Musashi with a body shot. Musashi ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Musashi throws a half hearted mid kick. Shamrock swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Musashi fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Shamrock checks it well. Shamrock takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A cross from Musashi lands. Musashi takes a swing at Shamrock's ribcage but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shamrock stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Musashi. Shamrock throws a right hand that misses
and Musashi counters with an outside leg kick.
Musashi connects with a single shot there. Shamrock avoids a kick to the body.
A low kick from Musashi is predictable there enabling Shamrock to counter with a crisp jab. A telegraphed right hand from Musashi misses the target. Shamrock is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Musashi with a body shot. Musashi is looking to wear down Shamrock with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Musashi jabs Shamrock to the body, keeping him at a distance. A slow jab from Shamrock misses its intended target. Shamrock steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Musashi. Musashi lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Shamrock misses with a straight left.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Musashi connects with a solid leg kick. A left lands for Musashi. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Musashi throws a shot to the body.
Shamrock on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Jab by Musashi. Ryu Musashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shamrock slips a jab from Musashi. Shamrock is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Musashi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Musashi misses with a leg kick and Shamrock counters with a straight right hand. A bone on bone clash there as Shamrock blocks the leg kick.
Shamrock let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Musashi throws a quick inside leg kick. Shamrock misses with an uppercut
and Musashi counters with a nice body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Musashi lands with a good body shot. Shamrock closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Musashi connects with the punch. A slow jab from Musashi misses its intended target. Musashi thows a leg kick but Shamrock checks it and Shamrock counters with a three punch combo that has Musashi backing up. Musashi nods at Shamrock to acknowledge the strikes. Musashi swings widly with a right hand
enabling Shamrock to counter with a crisp jab. Musashi misses with a right hand and Shamrock counters with a nice uppercut. Musashi throws a leg kick and Shamrock counters with a straight that turns Musashi's legs to rubber! Shamrock pushes forward with more strikes and Musashi goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bobby Shamrock! Bobby Shamrock seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website. Ryu Musashi spoke after the fight, saying 'Bastard needs to wash his clothes....I gagged when he clinched me and almost vomited when we was on the ground....good GOD he stinks...should be a rule on clean clothes....nasty bastard.'.
