The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durand dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Starting . That did some damage!
Starting on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Durand lands a nice shot that snaps Starting 's head back.
Starting misses with a leg kick

and Durand counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Durand.
Our sources have told us that Durand has been working on his elbows in the gym.

Durand's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jacques Durand seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Durand throws a head kick that misses.
Starting tries to clinch up.
Starting fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Durand manages to avoid it.
Durand checks a low kick from Starting .
Durand misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Starting gets tackled into the ropes by Durand. Durand maintains the clinch.
Durand trying to stall but Starting improves his position.
Starting is trying to break the clinch but Durand has him pressed against the ropes.
Starting is trying to maintain a safe position but Durand gets an underhook and turns Starting into the ropes.

Durand breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Starting throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Durand counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Steve Starting has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Durand throws a head kick that half lands.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Durand instigates a clinch.
Starting avoids the elbow strike from Durand, against the ropes.
Durand misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Starting .

Durand breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Starting rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Durand moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Durand swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Durand connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Starting onto his butt! Starting bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.

Starting is rocked!
Durand ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Starting out cold! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jacques Durand!
Jacques Durand decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
