Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Luiz Correia Azevedo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Enda OSullivan! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! OSullivan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. OSullivan stuffs the takedown. A little jabbing left from OSullivan on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. OSullivan moves into range and clinches up with Azevedo. OSullivan is working Azevedo over against the cage. Azevedo is trying to pull guard but OSullivan has him pressed against the cage. Good body shot from OSullivan.
Azevedo tries to pull guard but OSullivan holds him up against the cage and eventually Azevedo drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luiz Correia Azevedo. That's going to take a lot out of him. OSullivan prevents the takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. OSullivan softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. OSullivan is defending well against a takedown attempt. OSullivan successfully pulls guard.
Azevedo wants to pass the guard but OSullivan is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Azevedo advances position into side control! Azevedo works to advance to full mount. OSullivan defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Azevedo pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Azevedo is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. OSullivan is in real trouble.

OSullivan's corner are yelling at him, telling him to just focus on controlling Azevedo's hands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. OSullivan is in a bad position with Azevedo working for a choke. OSullivan manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment. Azevedo lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. OSullivan throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Azevedo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. OSullivan pushes Azevedo off and gets back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. OSullivan throws a leg kick that is checked so Azevedo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three minutes gone in the round. OSullivan wants to get back to his feet but Azevedo is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Azevedo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Azevedo passes OSullivan's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Azevedo trying to control the action but OSullivan is working from the bottom. Azevedo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Azevedo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Azevedo moves nicely into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Azevedo has hold of OSullivan's arm. He's looking for a kimura. OSullivan seems comfortable defending it but Azevedo has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! OSullivan is real pain and he's forced to tap out! OSullivan is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Azevedo couldn't care less - he's delighted!
