Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Barrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Mario Barrera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Donald Evans! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Evans misses with a wild body shot. Barrera digs a good hook to Evans's body.

and Barrera cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Evans thuds a left hand into Barrera's body. Evans has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Evans uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Barrera.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Evans connects with a jab. Barrera tries to clinch up but Evans circles away and keeps his distance. It seemed like Evans was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

That took the wind out of him momentarily. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Evans ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barrera moves away. enabling Barrera to counter with a crisp jab. Evans doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Evans with a hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Donald Evans dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Barrera misses the shot to the body. Barrera looks to score with a jab to the body but Evans is just out of range. Evans swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Evans takes a swing at Barrera's ribcage but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barrera throws a body shot but no joy. Evans lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Barrera throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Evans stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Evans keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mario Barrera. I think Barrera has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
