Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryan Barnett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Lock! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Lock with that takedown attempt. Barnett throws a head kick but Lock moves out of range.
Lock wants to clinch. Barnett stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Barnett wants it to stay on the feet. As Lock looks to move away, Barnett throws a big counter combo but Lock just gets out of the way. Lock wants to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barnett gets the takedown into side control. Barnett wants to stand but Lock has his arm trapped.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lock tries to bench press Barnett off him but Barnett keeps the position. Lock is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Barnett asserts his dominance and retains side control. Barnett wants to stand but Lock is controlling his arm. Lock is trying to buck Barnett off. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Still in half guard, Barnett seems content to control. Lock tries to get to full guard but Barnett has control of the leg. Barnett looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lock with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Barnett working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Barnett trying to control the action but Lock is working from the bottom. Nice strikes from Barnett there. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Barnett looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Still in half guard, Barnett seems content to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Barnett shoots in but Lock avoids the takedown attempt easily. Lock is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Lock shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barnett as he avoids it easily. Barnett shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Lock kicks off Barnett and gets to his feet. Lock blocks a head kick by Barnett.

Lock gets caught flat footed, as Barnett shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Barnett engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Lock avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lock working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Barnett is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Lock is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Barnett engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Barnett is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Barnett advances to half guard. Barnett is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Lock! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bryan Barnett dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Barnett gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lock counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Barnett thinking. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lock. Bryan Barnett is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lock shoots in for a double leg but Barnett sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Barnett closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lock quickly recovers to half guard. Lock trying to hold on to Barnett's head to control him but Barnett postures up.
Barnett wants to work for an arm triangle but Lock is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lock is refusing to be controlled, as Barnett sits in half guard. Barnett prevents Lock from improving his position. Lock keeps trying to improve his position. Still in half guard, Barnett seems content to control.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Lock shoots in for a takedown but Barnett shows good takedown defense. Barnett attempts a counter takedown but Lock avoids it well and moves away. Bryan Barnett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Lock. A momentary lapse in concentration from Lock enables Barnett to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lock manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Barnett trying to control but Lock is working from the bottom. Bryan Barnett overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Barnett with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lock is trying to hold Barnett in close to prevent damage but Barnett has managed to pass into half guard.
Barnett is working for a submission of some sort.
Lock is trying to maintain the position but Barnett is very close to passing his half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Barnett seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
And that's the end of the fight! Bryan Barnett showed his dominance in that final round. Well Barnett has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
