Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hud Vash (ranked 6041 p4p, 522 weight class) and Sanji Jones (ranked 9033 p4p, 607 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hud Vash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sanji Jones!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones needs to keep his hands up - Vash had a free shot at his head there.
A low kick from Jones is predictable there
and Vash counters by clinching up.
A head punch on the inside from Vash fails to land.
Vash lands a right hand.
Vash gets through Jones's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
A left hand lands to the body for Vash.
A body shot lands from Vash.
Vash throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Joness head.
A short uppercut from Vash.
Jones jumps guard and drags Vash to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Vash not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Vash tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard.
Jones trying to keep a closed guard but Vash is proving a slippery customer.
Vash controls from within his opponent's guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Vash clinches with his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jones has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Vash is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Vash lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Jones's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Vash lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Vash stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Vash keeps control of Jones as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A body shot lands from Vash.
Vash scores with a shot to the side of Jones's head.
Jones is rocked!
A short left from Vash.
Jones is still on wobbly legs! Can Vash finish him?
Vash lands a shot to the body.
Vash lands with a short head shot on the inside.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Vash.
Vash unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Jones! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Vash is unloading with more strikes now! Jones drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hud Vash!
