Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 2, fighting out of New York, Chris Karter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Temudjin Khaan!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Joseph Jones and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Khaan manages to avoid it.
Khaan lands a jab to Karter's midsection.
Khaan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Karter ducks under a wild hook from Khaan.
Khaan scores with a leg kick.
Khaan avoids the body shot from Karter.
That kick from Karter tenderised Khaan's leg. Khaan is trying to keep his angry face on.
The fighters circle momentarily. Karter darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Nice straight punches there by Karter. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Karter.
Karter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Khaan manages to avoid it.
Khaan was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Karter looks to land a body kick but Khaan moved away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Karter drives through and clinches with Khaan against the cage.

Khaan breaks from the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Karter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Karter misses with a looping left.
Khaan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Karter on the side of the head.
Karter shoots in and drives through. Khaan sprawls well.
A big left from Karter misses.
Karter moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Karter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Khaan moves away.
Khaan's coach down at NYC Striking Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Khaan's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Khaan lands with a cross.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Khaan, as that shot connected.
Khaan feints and then cracks Karter's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Karter down.
A cross from Karter lands.
Karter slips a straight right by Khaan.
Karter is looking to counter the offense by Khaan and move into the clinch.

Karter has Khaan up against the cage in a clinch.
Karter stalling in the clinch but Khaan improves position.
Khaan lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Khaan lands a nice uppercut.
Karter is looking to control Khaan's arms but Khaan gets an underhook and turns him. Now Karter has his back to the cage.
Karter tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Karter keeps control of Khaan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Khaan breaks from the clinch.
Karter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Khaan.
Karter smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Khaan counters with a leg kick.
Khaan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Karter.
Khaan scores with a nice head shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Khaan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Karter takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Karter throws a hook to the side of Khaan's head but Khaan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Khaan takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Karter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Khaan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Karter checks a low kick from Khaan.
The crowd cheers as Khaan lands an impressive looking overhand right. Karter doesn't seem phased though.
Khaan misses with a hook

and Karter counters by moving into the clinch.
A shot in the inside from Khaan.
Karter swings wildly with an uppercut but Khaan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Khaan can't break the clinch.
Khaan lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Karter tries to work over Khaan's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Khaan manages to break the clinch.
A swing and a miss from Karter.
Khaan swings for the body but Karter moves out of range.
A nice inside leg kick there by Khaan. That's going to slow Karter down.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Karter walks into a jab.
Khaan throws a nice looking combination but Karter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Khaan jabs Karter to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Khaan throws a lazy right hand but Karter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Khaan lunges at Karter with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Karter's hand.
A low kick from Karter misses
and Khaan counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Karter throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Khaan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Khaan lands with a hook. Karter tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Karter lands with an uppercut that bounces Khaan off the cage and back into range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Khaan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Karter was well out of range. Poor timing from Khaan.
Khaan lands a jab to Karter's midsection.

Khaan misses with a hook to the ribs.
Karter is stalling here.
A nice right hand lands inside from Karter.
Karter struggles to land a body shot inside as Khaan controls his hands.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Khaan manages to break the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Karter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Khaan.
A slow jab from Khaan misses its intended target.
Karter lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.


It looks like Temudjin Khaan has been cut.
Karter walks into a stiff left hand from Khaan.
Karter throws a leg kick but Khaan sees it coming and moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Khaan! But no joy.
Jab from Khaan.
Khaan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Karters jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Khaan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Karter.
Khaan looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Khaan lands a nice shot to the body.
Khaan staying out of range there.
Karter throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Khaan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Khaan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Karter moves away.
Karter uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Khaan.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Khaan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Karter has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Karter and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Karter misses the jab.
Karter cracks Khaan with a good jab.
Khaan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Temudjin Khaan dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Temudjin Khaan's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Karter looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Khaan! But no joy.
Karter jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Khaan misses with a wild body shot.

and Karter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Karter connects with a good right hand that stumbles Khaan. Khaan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.


Khaan is rocked!
Karter fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Khaan square on the jaw! Damn, Khaan is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chris Karter!
